Branding and Art Direction

Tempus

Description

Serving as Tempus Magazine's Creative Director for 6 years, I reimagined the brand, executed a magazine overhaul, and led a website revamp. From conceptualisation to production, I worked with luxury icons and brands to evolve a timeless aesthetic, resulting in prestigious award recognition, including the Top Global Luxury Media in 2023.

Problem

As the luxury landscape constantly evolved, Tempus Magazine sought to reflect this dynamism in a timeless, sophisticated aesthetic and a digital platform that could embody the quality of its luxury content, all the while remaining relevant to design trends and the demands of the luxury market.

Deliverables

Brand Redesign, Identity & Strategy

Magazine Overhaul

Website Revamp and UX Enhancement

Cross-Platform Marketing Collateral

Artistic Direction for Exclusive Photoshoots

Streamlining Luxury: This intuitive sign-up interface I designed for Automobile Club Villars embodies effortless elegance, welcoming new high-net-worth members with ease and sophistication.

In my six-year tenure as the Creative Director of Tempus Magazine, I have reshaped its aesthetic, creating a distinct, timeless design language for the bi-monthly luxury publication. This involved overseeing the magazine’s redesign, spearheading website UX enhancements, and developing an innovative magazine grid system. The transformation extended to marketing collaterals and event environmental design, ensuring an engaging, consistent brand experience across all touchpoints.

Working with icons like David Gandy and brands such as Jaguar and Aston Martin, I've led numerous photoshoots and collaborations that infused the publication with a unique luxury spirit. Additionally, I helmed a team of four, driving the execution of these projects and fostering a creative, synergistic environment.

One of my notable achievements was to navigate the magazine's transition to the digital space. I designed interactive features for online articles, implemented user testing, improved site navigation and search functionality, and optimised online content for various devices. I also designed an intuitive eCommerce experience for magazine merchandise and created personalised user experiences based on reader interests.

All of this cumulated in Tempus Magazine's recognition as the Top Global Luxury Media in 2023 in the Luxury Lifestyle Awards, a testament to the impactful design direction we undertook. This comprehensive approach to design and art direction has not only left an indelible mark on Tempus’s brand identity but also significantly resonated with our discerning audience.
