At Vantage Media's birth in 2018, I came in as the Art Director, overseeing the creation of a strong visual identity, including an award-winning magazine and a successful rebranding of a fintech company, alongside establishing effective design processes.
As a budding creative agency, Vantage Media faced the dual challenge of carving out a unique identity in a crowded market while ensuring a digital-friendly, modern aesthetic, a problem I tackled head-on by instituting a robust design system and leading multiple high-impact projects.

Streamlining Luxury: This intuitive sign-up interface I designed for Automobile Club Villars embodies effortless elegance, welcoming new high-net-worth members with ease and sophistication.
When I joined Vantage Media in 2018, I was tasked with the challenge of transforming the start-up creative agency into a recognised brand that mirrored our team's collective experience and our commitment to high-quality print and digital content. As Art Director, my role extended beyond shaping the visual identity, to encompass project leadership and team management, with up to three freelance designers working under my guidance at any given time.
One of my notable achievements during this period was leading the complete rebranding of Volopa, a fintech firm focusing on prepaid business cards. I introduced a fresh design system across their entire suite of print and digital assets, which included a complete overhaul of the UX for their app, website, and prepaid cards. This bold new direction resulted in an impressive 4400% increase in sign-ups within a year, testament to the power of thoughtful and effective design.
Meanwhile, I helmed the design for a successful legal firm's quarterly magazine, taking it from conception to reality. This involved collaboration with the editorial and development teams, crafting intricate print products, and designing innovative digital experiences, all while ensuring consistent brand identity. This work led us to win the prestigious Top Global Luxury Media 2023 award in the Luxury Lifestyle Awards.
At Vantage, I was instrumental in building a proficient team and honing a streamlined design process. I brought in tools like Adobe Suite, Figma, Notion, and ClickUp, and championed the use of Adobe XD and InCopy for efficient collaboration between our editorial and design teams. My role also involved a great deal of client communication and problem-solving. On one occasion, I managed to navigate a potentially difficult situation with a demanding client, calmly working out a solution that respected our agreed-upon terms.
Moreover, I also brought Vantage Media's website into the mobile-first world, conducting extensive user research and using Figma and Adobe XD to design wireframes and prototypes. The final build, done with Webflow, beautifully complemented our brand's bold colour scheme and typography while delivering a superior user experience.
Throughout my tenure at Vantage, my focus remained on delivering superior design, managing resources effectively, fostering skill development, and ensuring smooth project coordination. This experience has truly honed my abilities as a creative leader and UX designer, capable of delivering outstanding results in demanding environments.
